Useful crochet links / Häkeln im WWW

Endlich!

Finally I got my camera! One, that deserves this name! Now I have to figure out, how to use it to get great pictures... in the meantime I'm still working on a collection of crochet jewelry. There's nothing better for spring than blooming necklaces, made from yarns from very fine to soft and (a bit) thicker. Or what about a soft choker with flowers and freshwater pearls? I will keep you updated...

Until then, just a quick one. I'd like to share some of my favourite crochet websites, with tons of instructions and neverending inspiration. So, here we go!

http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/

Thank you, Rachel, for the best site collecting free crochet instructions! Here you can find everything... home decor, clothes, shawls, hair accessories, flowers, doilies,....
and if you're a knitter also, try the "sister site" http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/

...linking the crochet community. You have to register, but it's free. Then you get access to hundreds of free crochet patterns, you can sign in for a (often very useful) newsletter and if you like, you can also shop patterns from interweave store. I like crochet me very much because there are lots of high quality patterns available.

MyPicot is really useful if you're looking for stitch patterns. Also, there's a nice collection of flowers and the like. And you can find useful instructions on how to crochet.

http://www.lionbrand.com/

Lion Brand Yarns offers you looots of free patterns both for crochet and knitting. Some of them are a bit... well... oldfashioned, but with a bit of patience you will certainly find something you like. Registration is neccessary, but it's all free. And you can immediately download the patterns and save them as pdf or print them.

Looking for vintage books on needlecraft? Crochet, knitting, tatting, stitching,.... Antique Pattern Library offers you hundreds of really old books. Be sure to update you Adobe Reader, or some of the pdfs won't work. All books are scanned, and you can download them immediately. And be sure to have lots of time when you visit the library.... :)

Tons of free vintage crochet patterns! I like the bag patterns... cute hats, too!
